ArcelorMittal Galati continues to support the local medical system by donating state of the art equipments to the St. Andrew Galati Emergency County Hospital and other medical units.
In the last months of 2016 the Company bought and donated four life monitors, four laryngoscope sets and a hydraulic stretcher for the Intensive Care Ward, high resolution binocular loupes and surgical instruments for the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Ward and three transport stretchers for the Emergency Room.
Also, the Steel Plant contributed to the community’s effort to upgrade the “Buna Vestire” City Maternity with two modern incubators for premature babies.
“Our top priority here inside the plant is Health and Safety, thus it is only natural that we extend that interest to the quality of medical services in the community”, said Bruno Ribo, the Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Galati. “Despite our struggle to overcome current difficulties, our efforts to support health and education will continue in the years to come”.
In 2017 the Company will continue to invest in the Intensive Care Ward, the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Ward and the Emergency Room and will resume the support for the Orthopedic Ward while launching, in premiere, a series of new projects for the Neurosurgery Ward, all part of the County Hospital.
